Catherine Tresa was born as Malayali Catholic in Kottayam. Catherine Tresa was brought up in Dubai. Even though she born in Kerala, she don’t speak Malayalam. Catherine Tresa can speak little bit Hindi and she is also learning now Telugu. Catherine Tresa did her schoolings in Dubai till Twelve standard. Later she moved to Bangalore for higher studies. She joined St.Joseph College in Bangalore for her studies.

Catherine Tresa was model to Nalli Silks, Fast Track call taxi, Chennai Silks, Josco Jewelers, Deccan Chronicle. Catherine Tresa did her first film in 2010 in Kannada movie Shankar IPS acting with Duniya Vijay. Later she did couple of Malayalam films. In 2011, she again acted in Kannada film named Vishnu.

Catherine Tresa knows singing, ice skating, dancing and playing piano. She was Emirates Environment volunteer in Dubai before she came to India.  She has also did the photo sh0ot for Srikantadatta Wodeyar’s Maharaja Calendar.

Catherine Tresa  acted as Akansha in Puri Jaganath’s Telugu film named Iddarammayilatho and she got good reviews for acting in this movie.  She is also working on her new Telugu project Rudarmadevi, a historic film directed and produced by Gunasekar. She was nominated for Best supporting actress in Kannada in film fare for God Father movie where Catherine Tresa  did the role as Sujatha.

In 2013, she did a character in Chammak Challo directed by Neelakanta which failed to hit in Box office but Catherine Tresa got positive reviews and comments for her acting in this movie. 123telugu.com noted that “she has the potential to be a superstar in future if she plays her cards right”

In 2014, she signed two Tamil films. One with Karthi with the movie named Madras and the other one with Adharva for which Title is not placed yet.
